1. OnePlus 7 Pro pre-booking starts today on Amazon - Ahead of the OnePlus 7 series smartphone official launch on May 14th, OnePlus has announced the pre-booking of the ‘Pro’ model in India. Starting today at 12pm, interested buyers can pre-book the OnePlus 7 Pro smartphone at just Rs 1,000 from e-commerce platform Amazon.in. As part of the early bird offer, OnePlus is offering six months free screen replacement (worth Rs 15,000) with the handset.


2. Vivo V15 Pro’s 8GB RAM variant landing soon in India - Earlier in February, Vivo introduced its latest V series smartphones called the V15 and V15 Pro in India. The Vivo V15 Pro arrived as one of the most interesting handsets from the brand’s stable with features like an all-screen fascia as well as an elevating selfie camera. The mid-range offering was released in a single RAM variant in the country. However, now the company is all set to launch yet another model of the V15 Pro in the Indian subcontinent.
According to a Vivo India executive who wants to remain anonymous, the brand will be releasing a higher-end model of the V15 Pro with 8GB of RAM in the country later this month. Just like the phone’s earlier 6GB RAM variant, the new 8GB model of the handset will also be available with 128GB of storage. The new configuration of the device will be priced below Rs 30,000, and will be available in a special colour variant. Notably, the 8GB RAM model of the V15 Pro was originally released in Malaysia recently.


3. Amazon Summer Sale starts today - Amazon India’s annual Summer Sale will begin at midnight today, but Prime members will be able to get access to deals twelve hours early. The Summer Sale deals will be available exclusively for Prime members starting 12:00PM IST today. During the sale, Amazon India is offering free screen replacement worth Rs 15,000 to those who prebook the OnePlus 7. 4. Samsung Galaxy A10, Galaxy A30, Galaxy A50 receive a price cut - Samsung has discounted its Galaxy A10, Galaxy A20 and Galaxy A30 smartphones in India. The three handsets were launched in the country back in February and target different price segments. The phone manufacturer announced the Galaxy A10 as a budget smartphone starting at a price of Rs 8,490 and after the price cut, the phone is available starting at Rs 7,990. The Galaxy A20 will now be available starting at Rs 11,490, down from its launch price of Rs 12,490. The Galaxy A30 was announced starting at Rs 16,990 and is now priced at Rs 15,490. The phones are available for purchase at a reduced price on Amazon and the Samsung Online Store.


5. Apple Patents In-display Fingerprint Scanner, May Feature In Future iPhones - In-display fingerprint scanners are slowly becoming a norm for flagship smartphones. First incorporated in the Vivo X20 Plus UD, the in-display scanners were later introduced by companies like OnePlus, and Huawei. Furthermore, South Korean technology company Samsung introduced the world’s first ultrasonic fingerprint scanner in the Galaxy S10+. The American technology giant, Apple till now has abstained from implementing the technology on its devices but this is likely to change soon. The company was granted a patent for what looks like to be an in-display biometric scanner for a future iPhone.

Vivo V15 Pro price in India axed by Rs 2,000 - Vivo’s mid-range V series smartphone V15 Pro (review) has received a price cut of Rs 2,000 in India. 91mobiles has learned from its retail sources that the handset will now be available at Rs 26,990 instead of its launch price of Rs 28,990. The Vivo V15 Pro price drop seems to be for the offline market as major online retailers in India, including Flipkart and Amazon, continue to sell the smartphone at its original price. The handset was launched in the country back in March this year.


2. Huawei Y9 Prime (2019) with pop-up selfie camera - Huawei has silently announced the Y9 Prime (2019) smartphone, which is the successor to the last year’s Y9 Prime (2018). It is the second phone from the brand to rock a pop-up selfie snapper, the first being the recently introduced P Smart Z. The Huawei Y9 Prime (2019) rocks a triple rear camera setup, it is powered by the Kirin 710 SoC and runs on the latest Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. 3. Samsung could launch Galaxy M40 - Samsung seems to be gearing up for the launch of a new smartphone in India soon. A teaser image, rumored to be from Samsung India, has surfaced with the text " #OMG Coming Soon”. The identity of the upcoming smartphone is a mystery at the moment; however, a reliable source suggests it will be the Galaxy M40 smartphone. The handset will be the fourth model in Samsung’s Galaxy M series. The lineup currently includes Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20, and Galaxy M30 smartphones.
